Our cat, Fifi, has become very elderly with many health issues, and the side effect of one of her medications is that little tufts of fur are beginning to fall out. She appears to itch in those places. The vet said she will die soon if she doesn't stay on that med (Tapezol for over-active thyroid), and that we just have to accept this side effect.
My question to you is: Is there anything any of you might know of to calm down the static in her fur? I am concerned that this fur static might aggravate these new skin issues of hers. We can't spray her with anti-cling spray, and wiping her with those fabric softener tissues that also cut down on static cling doesn't seem like it would be a good idea, either.
Thank you in advance for sharing any experience and knowledge you may have had in a situation like this.
Would appreciate help with fur static
