My experience with my mail order rabbit cage

Belleville, IL(Zone 6b)

I saw this cool rabbit cage that I wanted to get for my bunny, but it looked too big to get into our car. So I ordered it online.
It took about two weeks to get here. I took everything out of the box and laid it out on the floor to assemble it.
Some of the stuff had already been assembled, so I was a little leary about that. I figured maybe it was a returned item.
Anyway, I went ahead and started putting it together. Before long I realised that the two bottom bars that hold the litter pan were missing.
I was upset because I had paid a lot of money for this. So I called up customer service and told the woman that the bottom bars were missing and asked if I could have some sent out.
So I waited a week and she finally called back and told me they were being sent from the manufacturer directly. I asked her if she had ordered two since this is what I needed. She said yes, two.
Well, they finally came! The two top bars had screws already in them so I thought nothing of the screws and hauled the whole thing out of the birdroom and started to again assemble it.
ARGH! There were no screws sent along with it. For Pete's sake! I was really upset and determined I was not going to drag the whole thing into the birdroom again and call to get screws for it.
The UPS delivery man came at 6:45 so it was now after 7pm. We live out in the country and everything is so far to get to. But I took the screw from the top bar and it fitted the bottom also. I took the bar and the screw along to Lowe's and we finally got everything we needed.
That is the worse experience I have had with ordering things on-line.
The bunny loves it and it is big enough for him to hop all over the place. I also have a large outdoor cage for both of my bunnies to exercise in. But they have to take turns in it since they have not been socialized yet. I am waiting until the second bunny can get neutered before I try that.
Here it is in the kitchen before I took it into the garage. I think this spring I may just keep it on the porch during the day and wheel it in at night. It is too pretty to let the elements ruin it.
