Graham the Leopard Tortoise

Denton, TX(Zone 7a)

Graham got to go outside for a little while today (an half an hour) we have a blue plastic, kiddie pool we put on the patio, with a dish of warm water, a heat rock, and some food...I think he enjoyed himself (hard to tell, with a Tortoise) He ate a lot of the corn (his favorite food) and he moved around the pool quite a bit...he seems so depressed when he is inside..Monday is supposed to be 70 degrees, so we'll be able to put him out again for a little while. Our other Turtle hibernates as he is a native Box Turtle, but Graham is an import from South Africa, and he doesn't hibernate...He will get real big...like, 100 pounds! I don't know how we are going to move him, back and forth then...hopefully we will have an inside/outside pen then and when it is cold we can just shut off acess to the outside, that is the plan...
