What is a S. Variegata called after it has died to the ground and came back just green, with no variegation?
S. variegata
Non-variegata !!! :-P Just being funny Jen....sorry, I really have no idea!!!
Margie
In my garden, it would be called "gone". I have no idea, otherwise. LOL!
Brugie, i'm thinking that too, lol....just got to wondering what it was : )
A sport.
must be something that hates to leave, could end up the best plant . *LOL*
it did bloom an uneventful white, although the flowers were kinda small. i I had briefly thought about pollinating with something trying to get a smaller flower.
Surely the pod parent wouldnt be called S. Variegate, would it?
MS I have one that is called Sunset Varigated that I purchased, it could be the same, mine is about 2' tall no Y yet
Kareoke, if you have Sunset Variegata, PLEASE put me on your list for it : ). If i'm not mistaken, doesnt that one have the peach flowers?
Mine was just the plain white variegata that died back to the ground and when it came back in the spring it had just solid green leaves. I bought it from Kmart a few years ago and well, to be honest, i never saw it bloom when it was variegated...this year it turned all green and then bloomed white.....i have to wonder if the flowers were the same that they would've been on the variegated plant.
Mays/Sunset had peach colored bloom.

MS I purchased this one on ebay, if it does good at all I sure will let you know
Thanks Doris
Well MSJen sorry to report the brug died, I felt the stem when the leaves started droping, and it was soft, only one place in the center was semi soft so I cut that part out and have laid it in soil, I doubt very much it will make it, pretty sure it had root rot from the gnates getting to it.
Thats okay Kareoke. I'm sure we'll get another one.
Its not fun when a nice brug bites the dust!!
Jen
