unsprouted bulbs

hi, I normally hang out in the Brugs forum, but they referred me to the experts here at the bulb forum for this question.
I wanted to ask about bulbs that were planted this spring and did not come up.
They are in planter pots and have been brought in for the winter.
I want to know if they could still come up next year.
They are callas, irises, begonias, freesia, tuberose, cannas, gladiolus, and lily of the valley.

oooops, when I said "irises" I meant lilies, as in Oriental. I don't know how I typed irises, sorry.

also, the ones I am the most concerned about are the callas, especially Black Forest Calla

I'm no expert, Karen. but, my guess is no, they have either been eaten or weren't viable, or just didn't make it. I could be wrong, but you might want to just dig up one to see. Also, some of those you mention are not cold hardy to your area, so they will not come back. Those have to be dug up and stored over the winter. Hope this is helpful, although not what you were hoping to hear...

also, just to clarify, all of the above were in pots, and all ARE in for the winter now
they came in when it got below 40

I think I'd be digging them all up out of the pots and storing as appropriate for each type. I know glads are suppose to be thoroughly dried and then stored in a paper sack or panty hose.

Oops, I forgot that you mentioned that about the pots. Then Langbr is correct, they need to be removed from the pots and appropriately stored for the winter. You should be able to tell when you dig them up whether or not they're still viable.
