Beautiful, how large are those leaves?

San Antonio, TX(Zone 8b)

I don't know how large the leaves are exactly and found no reference that provided this information as I researched the plant. Looking at the other photos on the PDB, they appear to be about 3 or 4 inches long, but photos can be deceiving. This plant is also commonly known as Chinese Violet, Fragrant Telosma and Tonkin Creeper. You might want to email Clare_CA because it looks like she has grown this vine (which I haven't) to ask her. The fragrance is supposed to be wonderful and becomes stronger as evening approaches.

Hazel, what are you doing up at 3 am? Or is that 2 am Texas time...

Nice flower. I did not know this was used in leis...I thought they used plumeria. Can you tell I have not visited Hawaii yet?
I see a lot of your recent pics are from TopTropicals. Are you windowshopping for your new greenhouse plants, LOL? I have that site bookmarked; they have lots of wonderful plants to drool over.

bootandall, I sure wish it could take the freezes we have here. The fragrance would add a lot to the enjoyment of the landscape. Thanks for your comments.

Toxicodendron, I woke up about 1:30 AM because the big old dog needed to go outside. He has been waking me up at about 3:30 AM every night for quite some time. I don't know if he hears something outside or if he really needs to visit my plants if you know what I mean. I can't go back to sleep after he wakes me up. Maybe I need to withhold water from him after 6 PM! :o) Sooo, I have been cleaning and taking breaks at the computer. I hope I have enough energy left to be able to do well at my exercise class at 10:30.

Plumerias are used in leis. But, I have located a lot a different plants that are used as well. I have never visited Hawaii either and had no idea there are so many different kinds of blooms used for this purpose.

I have a lot of photos of my own that need to be identified and there are several at the ID Forum for which I am searching. So I have been looking at the TopTropicals.com site. As I come across interesting plants there, I have been adding them to the PDB. I wish I had room in the new greenhouse for some of these, but you were right. It filled up quickly!

Thanks for your comments.
