i just spent 2 hrs pruning and spraying for aphids and white flys(Thank You for the spray,Shirley)
spotted this bloom trying to open and it made it all worthwhile.I have some other plants that have a strong will to live,so i water them, but the Bruges are my favorites (Thanks again Shirley,I think, just realized there are over 80 of them in the house)
new bloom
That's pretty, what is it?
Remember, I'll get you some more spray if that doesn't do it. 80 of them, huh!! I think you have passed me up now. LOL!
I have to get the name tags straightened out.I never made any tags for the ones where i wrote the name on the trunk ,and I can barely read some of those now.I thought winter would be the "easy season",but i still have to get my lights ready so i can get some seeds going.
Mailman......it sounds like you are having fun in your new adventure. I think you are addicted like the rest of us........lol. Isn't Brugie the most generous person that you have met? She has shared and given to so many.
I agree,Shirley is the best!
OI think Brugie is dangerous to your health and welfare. Soon there will be no room for you in your house and no money for food!
It is very pretty and it is a double!!!
Congrats on your new bloom, Mailman. Yes, she is!!!
congratulations, and I agree Brugie is great, she is my 'Santa" :)
You guys haven't figured it out yet, have you? I kiss up to these people around here and con them into taking the plants that are out in my garden so they come, dig them up, and they are gone and I don't have to dig them out. Don't tell Phil or Kyle that this was my plan to begin with. LOL! Actually, Phil helped dig out a bunch that neither of us wanted or had room for and my yard man took care of the rest. I'm half afraid to plant everything next year. Phil and Kyle both have full houses and my yard man will quit on me. Maybe I better just get a chain saw and cut them down, then let the roots freeze over the winter. LOL!

Mailman,
That is a georgeous bloom. Do you know the name of your brug with this flower?
Mjoyce
yes, it is Gloden Lady.I keep the temperature here at 55 degrees.Blooms take forever to open but last 3 weeks. The spray seems to be helping.only found a few leaves with white flys .no new aphids.Thank you Shirley.I am going to mix some 7 to dose them again with in a couple of days.Off tomorrow to get some lights in the big city so I can start some seeds. If I plow up the back yard at this house I think I can get about a hundred Bruges in.:>)
