iochroma wanted

Stockton, CA(Zone 9a)

Hi,
I posted this in plant trading forum but decided to put it here too. I have bought the dark purple Iochroma, but would like to get some of the other colors. If anyone has them & would like to trade, I have rooted cuttings of thunbergia grandiflora, thunbergia grandiflora alba & thunbergia togoensis.
Thanks

Hey there!
I asked at my "good" nursery. They will have more in spring. They do not keep them over the winter. Remind me and I will keep looking.

Hi Janice,
Thanks! I have tried twice to get a response from Kartuz & they won't reply to my emails. Makes me VERY leary to order from them. LOL
I really appreciate you doing this for me. If you find any, I will paypal you the money for them & postage, and if you don't use paypal, let me know & I will send you snail bucks. ;~)
Happy Holidays & hope your dad has a safe trip.

Kartuz takes forever to respond sometimes and can take a while to ship but they have pretty good stuff and eventually do send the orders out. I think it's a one man operation.

Susie,
You are right. I have ordered from them and it does take some time for them to respond to emails and get orders out because as you mentioned it is a one man operation.
I purchased my iochromas from there and was pleased with the plants once I got them.

Donna,
I have 3 iochromas that you are welcome to come spring,if they make it through the winter. Last year they were new for me and I overwintered them in my gh. I planted them out in the yard this past spring and they are still in the ground. I don't know how well or even if they will survive the winter here. It doesnt really get that cold and our ground doesnt freeze at all. If and when they return in the spring you will be welcome to them . In exchange i'd like to try the thunbergia alba.
You will have to remind me come spring because I tend to forget things real easily. Just make yourself a note to remind David about the iochromas in March.
This is the 3 that I have:: Sunset---Fuchsioides---Grandiflora

David,
thank you so much for the offer! That is very generous of you. I will make a note in my birthday reminder program to email you in March. And thank you both for letting me know that Kartuz tends to run behind. I was beginning to wonder.

can I just ask,,,
do the Iochroma have fragrance?
I have seen them and was thinking about trying them, and never did.

Good question Karen. I get the impression from some things I have read that they don't, but maybe that is something I assumed because of the lack of mention of it.
