One of the big mysteries of our language, LOL. This is a continuation of the ever imitated, but never duplicated Nightowls thread! See http://davesgarden.com/forums/t/471324/ for the previous installment.
It's snowing here! Big, fluffy flakes are meandering from clouds to earth. They're mesmirizing, but almost make me dizzy if I look at them too long. Higgins is sitting next to my monitor, alternately gazing out the window and shutting his eyes in a cat nap. Not sound asleep, his ears twitch at small sounds like the creaking of my chair. It feels cozy in the office today, even with its clutter. The long-range forecast on The Weather Channel is calling for snow showers on December 23; Howie guesses they tell us this just to get our hopes up, for Ohio's winters seem to produce more wetness than flakes in any precipitation. We have a dusting of snow on the ground today, so perhaps we should gaze intently at it so we may superimpose its image on the holiday should snow not come!
What's everyone up to today?
