Some time back I had posted a comment regarding Max, who used to wolf down his dry food, and then race to the water bowl and happily gorge on water. His next step was to regurgitate the entire mess on the carpet or the floor. I said that I had solved the problem by withholding water for about an hour after feeding, and it has been remarkably successful.........however, if Max doesn't get water, nobody else does either. They do wait patiently. So here are four of them sitting by the dish, sending thought vibes to the caretakers, WATER!! NOW!!
The other watering occurswith a spritzer bottle, when they get on the upholstered furniture, which is also working remarkably well, at least when I'm home. I'm wondering if, at some point, they will make a quantum intellectual leap and arrange to get spritzed after eating so they can get the water off their coats!! (I got tired of my guests leaving looking like flocked Christmas trees...not to mention I hate vacuuming.)
