cuttings with a Y

Baytown, TX(Zone 9b)

I took cuttings of my white below the Y
and left the Y intact.
Does that speed up blooming if your cutting you are
rooting is already a Y? Or does it have to Y again?

I don't know, but I am sure that one of our wonderful members will help you. I just wanted to say I love your screen name. Gave you a free bump up, too, heehee

I must have missed this on Sandy. Cutting below the Y will help with blooms coming sooner. I hope you left the trunk long enough that when it blooms they won't hang in the dirt. LOL! It will probably have to make another set of Y's on the branches, but that would be a normal thing to happen anyway. It won't take long. Enjoy your brug and Happy Holidays.
