Seed Lists?

Winnipeg, MB(Zone 2b)

Anybody have your seed lists finished yet? I'm still cleaning my seeds.. Should have cleaned them up as I harvested, instead of deciding fridge just MUST be cleaned out and therefore alll those bags of seed pods can really go into little baggies.

Perfectly clear all day and was looking forward to meteor showers tonight. Now, all cloudy. Drat.

My list is finished. Almost everything I have is on it, but I still have some little bits stached away. I do mine the lazy way. Took it off that other orrible site though. Can't stand the pop-ups and advertising on there.

Wouldn't it be fun to actually get some Canadian trades going on the Canadian Trading forum. Most of my trades at DG last year have been with the Murricans. I remember one of my first was from New Zealand. Very nice Aquilegias too.

Meteor showers? Too bad it's cloudy.

Haven't seen ya around lately Ginny. Glad you're back

When I first joined Dave's I didn't go to GW for awhile. When I did go back I found the same thing...annoying popups every time you look at a posting. It's extremely annoying isn't it? They didn't used to have those. Maybe I'll take my list off there too. I did make some nice trades and found all the people I traded with very nice though. However, my last trade turned out to be kind of a bad experience.

I put my list on here. I do have some other odds and ends though, so if anyone's looking for something you could put out a wanted post and if I have it I'd be happy to share. I have some things that I don't know the names of that I'm not sure if I should put on my list. Like a heather with large white bells that I got some seeds off and some gentian seeds but don't know the specific kind. Do you think I should put them on the list or only things with the latin names?

I only started saving seeds in September so I missed a lot of things. My parents have lots of interesting things in the garden so I'm already thinking about next year and all the great seeds I'll be able to get and share. My dad deadheads everything so next year I'm going to put plastic ribbon on all the seed heads and pods that I want to save.

No, not only things with latin names. Don't worry about that. It helps clarify when a plant has more than one common name or when a common name is shared by more than one plant, but don't let that stop you.

Gee whiz. Echoes, you mean I can list things like 'purple cone flower' instead of Echinacea name unknown!!! Thought I'd be smacked on the hand by you people who label everything. Hosta, lilium & iris are the only things I worry about. Of course coral bells are all recognisable. Gave away all my tiarellas and related things.

You gave away all your Tiarellas? I'm coming over to hit you! Well maybe not today.

Phew! That's good news. That should increase my seed list a bit. Tiarellas eh? I'll have to go look that one up.

The one thing on my want list that I have to get this year is Dianthus carnusianorum (Carthusian Pinks). I saw this in a garden in Selkirk last summer and on one road, they had used it in a big pot. Very impressive, a nice big clump. I will probably have to order them but if anyone can help me out before I do?.....

Another one from my want list that I hope I can start from seed is Japanese Burnet (Sanaguisorba obtusa). I think that is what I have in this photo.
