Sea Holly, Leavenworth Eryngo

Cassopolis, MI(Zone 5a)

Hi
If you have any of these seeds I would love to have some.

Please check my trade list to see if I have anything you would like.

If anyone knows where I could buy them that would be great also. I have done a lot of searching and can't find them.

Hi...I found the following website. Prices look reasonable.

(Zone 7a)

Very interesting...I had these and gave them away. I dumped half the pack in the starting tray and gave the the rest away. They never germinated.. .hmmm
I am looking for them too...I will definitely find them. I'm on a mission now...LOL. I'll keep you posted :-D

I shop there all the time. JLHudson does not have Eryngium
leavenworthii. There are many different kind and this one in particular is an annual. I have recently gotten a lot of mix ups over this...
I recently traded for a plant of Alpine Seaholly (alpinium). When it bloomed it was common sea holly (planum). This is the Alpine sea holly:

But this is what bloomed...LOL which I already had:

Oops...sorry, Alice....too many abbreviations in their ad....thought I had it.

Thats okay I really appreciate your looking for it!

Kim I would love to have the Alpine Seaholly (alpinium)

I got some from a seller on ebay, but the seeds just sat in the starter mix and never did anything!!

I saw some on ebay last night so I may have to try those again, but I would rather have these!

I think Sea Holly seeds like to be fresh. My Planum seeds readily germinate when they fall to the ground. But I have tried the Alpine and Nada! I'm on the hunt for some fairly fresh seeds picked this year. I'll let you know what I come up with. I had some Variegated Sea Holly and amethyst. Got discouraged so sent them to Nicole. Lets see what she gets! ha ha..We're counting on you Nicole!
