L'amour

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

I am so excited to finally see this brug. bloom for myself. I lost my plant early in the season due to spider mites. This is from a cutting that was sent to me. When I walked into the greenhouse this morning , the fragrance was so strong and lovely that it about knocked me over.

Thanks everyone, I was just so excited, I had to share it.
I realize that there have been lots of pictures of L'amour shown
this summer, but anyone that has watched one of their specials plants die a slow death before getting to enjoy the blooms will understand my excitement.

I love it Patricia. Was that a cutting you received last year? What size pot is it in? I know you are in California, altho I thought you said somewhere that you had moved, but it even gets cold sometimes in some parts of California, do you have it in the house, or outside?

The reason I am not sure is because of the container. Like maybe you move it in and out?

Jeanette, I do live in the San Fran. Bay area but inland. We do get very cold here sometimes. It is a cutting I received in the late summer and right now is in a gallon pot. I was just thinking when I moved it outside for the picture , that I need to move it up to a three gallon pot now. I am growing it in a heated greenhouse right now.

I did move this a year ago Thanksgiving. But I still live in the same area.

Patricia,

When my cuttings get nice and big and to a point of cutting, I'll share what I have with you, if you don't have my varieties. 4 out of the 5 you sent me are in soil - and seem to be doing well! One of the Golden Lady's is still not showing enough white nodes for me to feel safe planting it yet. I check it daily. It just started showing good signs this morning. Someone posted that Herrenhauser Garten this morning and I was impressed! Thanks again, so much!
