Starting Cuttings

Allen Park, MI(Zone 6a)

I transplanted some of my Brug cuttings this morning. I started some in Pearlite and some in Oasis. It seems like the ones in pearlite have a much better root system than the ones started in oasis.
Have you found this to be true in your cases?

I think Brugie or one of the other experts has used oasis too. I think someone stated that its too dense for the roots to grow through. Have you tried rockwool? Its very good for seeds and cuttings.

I usually start all mine in vermiculite. I find that there is a difference in which brug it is as to rather they root fast Some root very quickly and others take longer than a month or longer.

I didn't have good luck with oasis, but I've read of others who have. I prefer a pot of soil myself, but that is just what works best for me.

I'll give the rockwool a try. Got a good source to buy it?

I, like Brugie, also use plain old potting soil to start cuttings in too. Have you tried the log method?
