Christmas Cactus

Hi. My husband and I just purchased two Christmas cactus. I was wondering if you could give us any tips on maintaining them. Thanks, your help is greatly appreciated!

Here's a link with pretty easy culture instruction. They list a 'recipe' for mixing soil, but I do it the easy way......1 bag potting soil / 1 bag African Violet Mix / 1 bag Cactus Mix. I mix them together well and use it for almost all my houseplants (I'm too busy to fuss!) and they all seem very happy. (hint, if you purchase smallish bags they will fit in a 5 gallon pail....mine has a lid....and I just roll it around to mix! Use a small garbage can or something if you need more soil on hand.)

They are easy to maintain, they can be kept outside from spring to fall and just need to be protect from frost which will kill them. After they set buds in the fall, you can bring them inside, and they will bloom for you inside.
