Hopefully I'll be moving 150 bruglings out here tomorrow. That is if I can tear myself away from the computer long enough to re-install the grow lights under the bench...
Making room...
Gosh what nice plants. I esp have my eye on your begonia! I am going to show my DH your picture here Gretchen. He keeps telling, me I shouldn't use that heater!
added to say you also have lights in there? Are they just regular fluorescent lights? Nosy people want to know. LOL
Great pictures, but where, oh where, will you find room for 150 brugs in there? LOL! I love Christmas cactus. So pretty.
Snowbank looks great. I gave mine away. She didn't even bloom or bud up for me this year.
Just beautiful Gretchen. Plants and GH are something else! Thanks for sharing.
Gretchen, I am in awe, you are so neat and tidy WoW! I love your GH, all of your plants look so very happy!
Thank you Gloria and Julie! Now if I could just get DH to get me a real one!!!
Your Greenhouse looks so neat Gretchen. I dissappear completely between all my plants.
Oh Monika -- thank you! I wish mine was big enough to disappear in!!! Maybe someday....................
yours look great, and love the Brgonia, my puter room looks more like a greenhouse every day, and I have 10 Brugs in my bedroom, good thing I am single :)
Oh aren't they precious!!!!!! I just love ALL of them babies!
Watering all of those plants must be a real challenge. Everything looks great.
Everything looks great! Gosh I cant believe I have had my stuff in for almost 3 months.. lucky you to have stuff blooming, and just now bringing it in. All I have is a Geranium Im holding over that keeps me pleased with blooms.
Thank you! And, No Shirley ...its pretty easy actually. I do it with a hose end sprayer. The really good thing is that if its cool and gray, they can go for a week without being watered, because the GH is closed up. When its warm, sunny and all the vents are open they must get their dose of aqua daily.
Shelly -- I've had a bunch of the brugs in since the middle of October as I was afraid we'd get hit with an early frost, but the other stuff came in around November 15. We finally had our first frost (a bad one) on December 1st. Now as the bruglings get big enough to survive the temp changes of the GH, they get moved out there. And yes, its so nice to have blooms of any kind this time of year, which is the only reason I keep the impatiens and begonias. I'm sure you're enjoying your geraniums! I love them!!!
your plants are absolutely beautiful...
Your plants look very happy, Gretchen. I know what you mean about the 12/1 frost. My 2 big "Old Faithful" brugs are covered in blooms, but not a single leaf is left. They all turned black and fell off. The plants look very strange all bare, except for blooms.
By the way folks. Gretchen would need an very big greenhouse to get lost in, because she is not bigger than a minute.
Gosh ... everything looks so happy and healthy in there.
Gosh Gretchen, that is really pretty. I don't think I could get up there to put the lights up though.
Oh neither could I, Shirley! I would imagine they have professional decorators do it. Many people here do that. Wish you could see it in person. Just unreal all the stuff they have!!!
I hate seeing all these nice neat GH pictures
Mine looks like a hurricane ripped thru it.....
just kidding about hating to see the pictures
Someday I too will have a nice neat GH
NOT
Great healthy lookin plants!
Such pretty pictures I just don't like seeing those heaters why can't it be spring yr.round (some people want it all).
You gave me idea on cramming more plants in plant rooms!!!Shame on you now I got more work to do.
Thank you for keeping me busy -this time of yr.want to hibernate
Have a great day.
Barb
OOOOOh such a pretty Brug:
I'll have to get some pics of my experiment ongoing soon and post them.
That pretty pic makes me just want to pot more Brugs!!!
Thank you so much!!!
Thank you Barb! That's a picture left over from last summer of a seedling I grew out. I love her!
Ohhhhhhhhhhh she is gorgeous Gretchen, what is the cross?
Thank you Julie -- she's Goldtraum X Pink Beauty. She smelled heavenly, was extremely floriferous (sp?) and did not brown on the edges. The flowers stayed open during the day and lasted several days before they wilted, turned a little grey and fell off. I took some cuttings of her, so hopefully I'll have her again next summer. If she'd been pink, she'd have been plu-perfect!
