Very pretty and compact plant....is this a new cultivar?

BTW, how did you fare during the many hurricanes? I saw that Bok Sanctuary had a lot of damage. Hope you did not lose a lot of plants (or worse!).

Sorry, I forgot to check my mail. The biggest problems at Bok Sanctuary were the lovely old trees in the gardens. It will be many years before all that beauty is restored. The structure came through fairly well.
Though we had the eye of 3 hurricanes in 6 weeks, a real record, We had no structural damage, but lost shade trees. Now we have to build a shade house before next summer. Will have to bring in plants if we have a hard freeze. We hadn't had a hurricane since 1960, so this was a real surprise. Many people still have plastic tarps on their homes. Our plants are suffering from some sunburn, but for the most part they are doing well.

Yes, as far as I know this is a new cultivar. It is striking. I also love the 'shrimp cocktail.'

Thanks for your concern. Mother Nature

How sad about the lovely old oaks. I saw a lot of them in your area as I drove through to Tampa one day.
Good luck getting your shade house done this winter.

Hi. I'm new to the site and a fairly new gardener. I just bought two of these in 4" pots. They are beautiful! How tall do they usually get if planted in a pot? Want them on either side of my front door.

Thanks!
