Almost naked!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

Poor brug has no winter clothing on now. It is going to be long winter!

is that what frosty left you?

Lima, OH(Zone 5a)

So sad, looks like my "weed pile".

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Oh my! Looks like Jack Frost did quite a number on her! All of mine resemble that, only look much worse... I take it that one is planted in the ground?

Harlem, GA(Zone 8a)

awwwww kell, and it was just gorgeous before this. Mean ole' Jack Frost!! It will come back this spring in full swing, this I know :)

Herbstein, Germany(Zone 5a)

The poor thing looks very sad!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Too bad you didn't have a big parachute that you could have spread over all of your flowers. That guy looks kinda sad.

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

Poor cold, half naked Brug. LOL

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Hurry up Springtime!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

This is how it looked right up to just last week! It is Big Yella now renamed to Naked Yella! You know there are brugs within a few blocks of me that got no freezer burn at all!! My yard is in a mini freeze zone!

It is quite a looker. I'm sure it will be fine, but it surely does look pitiful.

I didn't realize you had frost already. We've only had one very light frost. It's 50F. here today and raining. Poor ole brug, he looks sad.

Greensburg, IN(Zone 6a)

AAAAWWWW kell that looks so sad.

Denver, CO(Zone 5b)

Poor pitiful thing. It wont be long before the weather starts warming up.

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Mine are almost as neckit but they are in the GH....LOL

Angleton, TX(Zone 9a)

It just does not seem like you would have frosty weather when we have not yet. Your picture definitely reminds me of what is yet to come.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

No, we shouldn't have had a frost yet. I am wondering who I should complain to!! Last winter this didn't happen till late January or February as I recall. And then it was not even so bad.

My yard is a mess!

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

I can totally relate. All my lantana is black because I haven't had a chance to cut it back, and my brugs are all bare:

Maybe we should do a "What's the saddest looking plant in your yard Contest"! So far, I'd say you're in the lead, Gretchen! But that's only because I haven't added pictures yet. It's not too pretty out there...

Oh well, I guess this makes us appreciate the spring that much more.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Isn't it awful? LOL...I really need to get out there and do some work, I just haven't had much motivation lately to do it...too many irons in my fires this year. I have to do it soon!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I'm hoping some of my stuff will decay away and I won't have to do anything with it. The brugs either pull up easy or snap off in the spring. Much easier than trying to dig them now.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Oh shoot...I'm still hoping that they will come back from the roots. Is that a pipe dream, Shirley?

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

You should have some that will come back for sure. It's never a guarantee that they will all come up again though. Wish I were far enough south that I could do a few in the ground that would come back from year to year.

I still have a L'Amour in the ground that a friend was supposed to get and she didn't get here and I didn't get her saved in time. I'm sure her roots would still be okay. I've got one in the house or I'd be digging her up really fast.

Gretchen yours are goners! LOL. Are you mulching heavily around them? That should help their survival.

Oh poor L'Amour and Brugie and when I think how just a short while ago we were all dying to get L'Amour! It was like gold.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Oh well...good thing they were all common and even then I did take lots of cuttings, not to mention all the seedlings I have started......................... Unless we have a really horrible winter I would imagine some will return.

That's too bad about the L'Amour! wish I lived closer to you Shirley -- I'd come dig her up in a heartbeat :)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

You have L'A don't you Gretchen?

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

No.....I sure don't, Kell. I do have some seedlings started that have a L'A parent though... I couldn't trade this fall because of the problem I had last summer with the Tomato Spotted Wilt Virus (thankfully, I believe its gone -- I pray so anyway). I know that some people had L'Amour cuttings, but since I couldn't trade anything in return, I didn't want to ask for cuttings this Fall. I'll just amuse myself with the seedlings this year :)

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I do not think I have ever done a trade yet! I bet you will have one soon. No doubt Santa is listening! LOL

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Santa sure is something these days :) Who ever would've guessed he monitored these threads???

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

He is everywhere, Gretchen. Writing his list and checking it twice! LOL

Moscow, TN(Zone 7a)

Are you a California girl? In the south we say "nekkid". You ever notice that when someone posts a thread with naked in the title everybody checks it out. lol

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Loretta -- too funny! LOL!!!

And, Kell -- you are so right!!!

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

That is too funny Loretta ... but true. 240 views and only 32 replies.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

They must have been hoping to see me nekkid! LOL. Be careful what you wish for!

Moscow, TN(Zone 7a)

Yep, nekkid and free, those two will catch our eyes everytime!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

LOL Loretta. No truer words have ever been said.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

You guys...........LOL! Hey, I don't know if I have ever used the word naked. Around here we say nude.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

Poor baby, it's naked! Have you warmed up yet?
