QUICK! Need advice boiling out alchohol!

DH is making a pound cake for a charity bake-off at work and needs to know how long to boil bourbon to remove the alchohol. Anyone know? Also, it will reduce slightly by boiling, should he just substitute that reduced amount for the original amount required? Thanks!
