Just wondered how you felt about Colin being denied parole again, so that he can't spend Chrisitmas with family on his Moosejaw Ranch. (BC News) Any opinion?
Pam, a quick question...
Talk about this often comes up.....most here wonder about cost of prison vs. safety of society. I have a feeling most don't want him to be released for a holiday visit.
I have a stronger opinion regarding Latimer but probably shouldn't get into it here.

I'd be interested to hear it at our RU Pam, if you're so inclined. The Latimer case sure has some some compelling feelings, on both sides of the question.
Aside from the fact that religious and political discussions are not generally welcome on DG (which I have no quibble with!), it's always so interesting, and yet so fraught with danger, to discuss anything remotely related to politics and/or religion. People's personal philosophies are very important to them and rightly so.
I keep forgetting that the only thing we initially knew that we all had in common was gardening! But I think there's been enough frank and hilarious discussion on this forum that we can have confidence that if we did happen to venture further afield (as it were) in off-line discussions, and if any feelings happened to be hurt, they'd heal very quickly. Heck, I've seen it happen on DG just talking about gardening, let alone politics! :-)
I bet at our dinners, over drinks, we'll hear a few opinions. I'll be looking forward to 'some' of these as well.
I'd be happy to talk about it then.....saw the family in North Battleford just before it happened. Heartbreaking for everyone concerned.
