Hello all! I hope somewhere out there is a kind soul that will shed some light on this perplexing problem.

I run Windows 2000 and each time I go to the Microsoft website and try to download and install any of the updates they will download, but then won't install. It just runs & runs - and then if I check the log it says it failed, but doesn't really give me a clue as to why it failed.

I need to install Service Pack 4 asap, any ideas as to what I can do to get the online download to work? Is this a common problem?
