my Butterfly
another. I saved polen when Dr Seuss was blooming a few weeks ago, so I dusted it. (and I said I was not going to try making crosses, y'all should be ashamed, this is so addictive).
Doesn't she smell good? Can't wait for summer and more blooms. I'm a real sucker for this one. Nice pictures Linda.

You pointed it out, so I had to go back and look. LOL! I sure didn't see it. I only look at the flowers and leaves.
Back to say how lucky you are to have her blooming. It makes me want to go to the garage and take a whiff of the one and only bloom I have...........

Linda, Butterfly is also one of my favorite blooms. It is so lovely and the fragrance is great. I can definitely see why you are excited about it blooming for you. LOL....your pictures are not as bad as mine that I took in an almost filled greenhouse. One day, hopefully,I will take more time setting up a picture.
One of my favorites ... did not have lots of blooms at a time but bloomed just about all summer.
This is one that does better with age. Mine was cut almost to the ground this year in spring (in a pot) and it really bloomed this summer. Almost constantly and with so many blooms at one time you couldn't begin to count them. It was also very root bound.
Butterfly is beautiful, Linda!! I thought I had killed mine and I now think it was in a bad location. Cross everything, I really hope it will live and be as pretty as yours!!!
It makes me wonder if some brugs like to be rootbound. I know of other plants that bloom profusely when rootbound.
But to keep them watered is tough when so rootbound! Though you know mine bloomed more in October and November than in the summer. They were all rootbound by then! But then so did the ones in the ground. Forget that theory! LOL
Thanks all, I just love it. I stopped by the gh on the way to work this a.m., and it will be the first thing I do when I get home this afternoon. I think the color is supposed to be a little deeper in summer (it didn't bloom for me until after I brought it in the gh, this is the second bloom).
