Lovely shot. Does this cultivar perform as well as the species? I've purchased a few cultivars that were to be repeat bloomers but they never did as well as the species.

Gorgeous photo, Victor. We grow alot of the newer cultivars of Tiarella and this is one of our favorites. What I like best about it is the fresh growth first thing in spring has a maroon hue, then takes on its true colors when it flowers.

Oh yes, I need to get this plant ... I'll be watching the nursery's for it this spring! Beautiful! Jill

This is my first tiarella so I can't compare it to the species. You're correct about the foliage, rcn. Here's a snap of that. Thanks.

You have good taste. This is a beautiful flower that has been on my want list for sometime.

victorgardener, I love your picture too.
I don't have this variety, but it is on my list. Tiarella's and Heucherella's do well in our yard and reseed readily for us, which I love that they are naturalizing so nicely.

Thanks S and g-maid. This was my first tiarella. Also planted my first heucherella this past Spring - Sunspot. Liked them both so I will definitely be trying more of both groups.

Victor, we grow lots of Heucherellas and Tiarellas, primarily because of their great foliage but also because of their prolonged blooming period. A few of my favorites you might want to try: Heucherella 'Chocolate Lace' - scrumptious 'chocolate' satin like foliage - haven't seen it bloom yet though as it was new for us this summer. Heucherella 'Dayglow Pink' has always been a favorite for it's bright pink flowers. Tiarella 'Cygnet' has been a long time favorite for its striking foliage but last year's introduction of Tiarella 'Neon Lights' has now made it to the top of my list. Also Tiarella 'Pirate's Patch' is a fast grower and reportedly had 250 flowers on a 2 year old plant! Another, Tiarella 'Candy Striper' is also nice.An old favorite Tiarella 'Spring Symphony' has now been replaced on my list with your 'Pink Skyrocket'. If you don't have Tiarella 'Heronswood Mist', it's a must have for the shade garden with its variegated foliage. And, if you're looking for a running variety, you can't beat Tiarella cordifolia 'Running Tapestry'. If you wanted to try just one of these for next year, my recommendation would be 'Neon Lights'. Sorry, if I seem to running on and on, but these are some of my favorite plants and since you already have two great cultivars, you need more!

Thanks rcn! I added all your suggestions to my wish list. I really appreciate it. How do you grow yours? Part shade mostly? How would they do in deeper shade? Or in 3/4 sun? Any special soil requirements? Do you fertilize at all? Thanks again and Happy Holidays!

Victor, we don't do anything special with our plants. The Heucheras, Heucherellas and Tiarellas we have in our gardens are primarily in partial to full shade. If we find a spot that gets only morning sun they do fine as well - with the heat in Virginia, they won't take the afternoon sun at all. We have heavy red clay here and don't fertilize them, although I'm sure they'd love it if we took the extra time.

I have a bronze type heuchera & it's in full shade but it is not naturalizing very well.... It has stayed in one spot for almost 2 years now..... It blooms profusely & sets tons of seeds...... they drop & ?????? My neighbor's is in part sun & seems to be getting larger than mine...should I move it??

Have any seeds to share of yours by chance?? Hehe

No, this was the first year and I did not attempt to collect seeds. I'll try next year.
