After surfing every bamboo site on the internet I finally found the U-shape bamboo hoops I have been looking for. AlohaHoya has them listed on their website.

Mary they are used to support plant vines, keeps the vines nice and neat so they don't reach out and grab you when you walk past:-). They also have plant vine clips.

Well, if I'd have known you were looking for these.....there's a source that sells them about 70 miles from me. ;)
I don't go there too often, but do once in a while for shopping and appointments. I could have picked up a few for you!
Glad to see they have them online, though. I'll have to look into those 'clips'....that's something I haven't seen and likely could use!
