Am I an oddball or what? I love to have a big, yummy Sunday dinner after morning church. Does anybody else still prefer this to going out to eat? What are some of your favorite things to make?
I love meals that are basically next-to-ready when we walk in the door. The little ones are usually tired from the morning and the baby needs to be feed right when we get in, so I try to do as much as possible ahead of time.
Tomorrow, we'll be having at a total of 6 adults and 2 toddlers for dinner. Here's the menu plan:
Spiral sliced ham (placed in oven before church)
Homemade macaroni and cheese (made beforehand)
Steamed brocolli
Cranberry biscuits
Dessert depends on how much time I have tonight. Pie if I have a lot of time, chocolate pecan bars if time is short. My guess is the pie won't happen. Everybody needs baths and I still need to iron their little dresses. That's okay, the bar dessert is really good, too.
I'd love to hear some time-efficient, from-scratch ideas for Sunday meals! :) Anyone...?
