Mango Crush..

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I'm not sure I ever put a picture of this one on the site. The color is very unusual. It has a much different color on the ribs that runs all the way to the tip of the tendrils. The easiest way to explain the color is to say it is a light coral color bloom with yellow/gold ribs and tendrils. Pretty color. My plant had some problems this summer. First it was hailed on really bad and then the broad mites found it. She still bloomed away.

I could do that! LOL Very nice, Shirley....Jo

San Diego, CA(Zone 10a)

Pretty color. The gold tendrils make it look sunkissed.

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Brugie, what did you do for the broad mites? Jeanette

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Ya have to love the strong ones, right Jo? Thanks Janice. I think this is one of Susie's that Tracey grew.

I only have Avid that will work on them, so that is what I used. It seemed to take care of the problem. They got new growth that wasn't hard and funky looking.

Keaau, HI(Zone 11)

Beautiful colors, Brugie...and perfect name!!!

Ellicott City, MD(Zone 7a)

Very nice shape and color!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I don't know who picked the name for her, but they did a great job.

The first time I saw this variety http://www.americanbrugmansia-daturasociety.org/Mango_Crushc.jpg I was so smitten by it I went and got my husband to come look at the picture.

Lucky you!!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Yes, I am lucky that Tracey needed someone in this zone to try it out.

Adrian, MI(Zone 5b)

By the way...I'm officially releasing ForeverMorr now, so if some of you still have it and want to share, that is okay by me now. I think she is going to be a reliable brug and in two years, she hasn't had a bug problem and definitely holds up in the wind.

Mc Call Creek, MS

Oh that color combination is a winner! The name just fits, too!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

OH WOW!! Brugie, I just love Forever Morr!

My Mango Crush is just flowering for the first time, thru all the frosts this week. The flowers are winter small and very light!

The picture paints a lush tropical scene; thank you for transporting me from this cold place I'm in now.

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Shirley,

Do you have any seeds for "ForeverMorr"? Would love to have it. It is gorgeous. Jeanette

Grass Lake, MI(Zone 5a)

Mine did not bloom this year either .... can hardly wait for summer. ForeverMorr did and is just one beauty of a brug.

Deep South Coastal, TX(Zone 10a)

My Mango Crush came thru the wind with buds intact but no leaves, lol. She's gonna look funny when she blooms in a few days! Your plants always look so healthy Shirley!

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks everyone. I wish they looked this good right now. LOL!
Jeanette, brugs do NOT come back true from seed so you would have to get a cutting to have the same plant. Wish I could help you, but there isn't much around here that is still green other than pine trees.

Northeast, WA(Zone 5a)

Yes Shirley, I had forgotten that. I will watch for a chance to get a cutting next year somewhere. Thanks, Jeanette

San Antonio, TX(Zone 9a)

ForeverMorr is definitely on my list of must haves.

Needville, TX(Zone 9a)

Very pretty Shirley!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

ForeverMorr and Mango Crush both are beautiful Brugs.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

Thanks everyone. I hope you all get the chance to try them.

Moscow, TN(Zone 7a)

So this is a brug worth growing? Always thought it was pretty but several told me it was not s great brug. But your MC sure looks healthy.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I think we all have favorites and even tho this one has unique color, it wasn't my favorite. I'd have to go with Susanne or Harlot for that spot. Harlot is an awesome bloomer. Guess my very favorite (Euro made) would have to be Day Dreams. She is sporting a couple of nice seed pods right now too.

Renton, WA(Zone 7a)

beautifull, me thinks, me will have to try these.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I can't wait to see Harlot bloom! I must say Susanne is truly incredbile. I can't wait to this summer to see all the best pinks bloom side by side! I still need Rubirosa to make my life complete!
