I recently purchased two finches blue heads light brown backs and red beaks and the very next day one of the birds were dead. The people at the store all tell me that if I introduce another bird into the cage, they will fight. They say they are matched at birth and if one dies there is nothing you can do. They refunded my money. I wanted a partner for the one left. The lit says that they can live for up to 15 years. I hate to think even though this bird did nothing he must spend 'his' life alone. Does anyone have experience in introducing new birds to each other?
