PVC greenhouse plans

Murrells Inlet, SC(Zone 8a)

I am thinking about building a new gh this spring. I've spent a lot of time the past few nights looking at them online and decided to do a search for some PVC plans. This is what I found. It is for a 32L x 10W x 10H house.http://www.buildeazy.com/plan_links_greenhouses.html

I would love to have a new greenhouse too......but it is not going to happen any time soon. It sounds like a wonderful size David and I know you could utilize all the space......lol

Mine is 12 x 18 and I still laugh when I think of how I told my husband after he finished building it......"This is more room than I will ever need." Little did I know!!!!

Cedar Key, FL(Zone 9a)

Mine is 10 X 20 and no way is it enough room
I think no matter how big you make them they always shoulda been bigger...LOL

Shirley that is the one. I like the size of it and it doesn't look like it would be that much trouble to build at all and that type of greenhouse works really well in this area because our winters are not severe here, though we do get lots of frost and some weeks with temps into the 20's.

Frannie mine is the same size as yours. It is (10H x 12W x 18L) when it was built I thought this will be plenty of room and i'll never fill it up. Boy was I wrong. Right now I have just enough space to walk and keep things watered. And every time I get rid of one plant I tend to replace it with two.

One of the other sites I looked at offers a really nice package deal including a blue flame propane heater, exhaust fan and louvers, the entire set up for just under $1,200. I think the site is farmtek(spelling?) It's in the gh forum here on daves. I don't need everything that comes with that unit though because I already have a large fan and a brand new 15-30 thousand btu propane heater and also the size of that particular gh is only 24L which is just 6ft longer than my existing one and how much more can you pack into 6ft? Not much the way I buy and trade plants!!

CC,i'm starting to think that none of us could ever have a gh that is big enough because if the rest of you are anything like me every time you go into a store or pass by a nursery or see a plant on line that you can't live without(like you'll drop dead if you don't buy it right now)you have to get it!!!

David Hoop Houses are easy to build but putting on the plastic is a nightmare. I couldn't imagine trying to put it on 32 feet. 16 feet was bad enough. If you want something smaller I will see if I can find my plans. They are From North Carolina Argriculture center I believe 12' x 14' but I made mine 16 or 18' which isn't big enough lol. I was going to make it 20' but the place I ordered my plastic from didn't kow how to figure the amount of plastic I needed. Heck 20' wouldn't have been big enough either. Now I have to figure out what gets to stay out side all winter with the hopes of survival. Here is the link. It is the last link on the page
