Awesome color.

Thanks all. This one is flowering outside at the moment here in SW France in a south facing border despite having had some frost :)
It isn't frost hardy, but must be sheltered enough from the lowest temperatures where it's growing

I think I may have one darker called " Chocolate Solstice" that has flowers that are so deep red that they are almost completely black. The photo you have is stunning, however and it is a jewel of a pelargonium.

LOL bagpypr, I knew I should have stuck "I think" on the end of that entry.

Ah - I've just realised I said "The darkest of all the SPECIES Pelargoniums" and yours sounds like a cultivar.....
What type of pelargonium is yours?

Redlands, CA(Zone 10a)

Pelargonium hortum and by the way thank you for spelling "favourite" correctly.LOL

Wow, that is just stunning. I must find this plant or some seeds for it. The deep red color is lustrous.

..and the contrast with the lovely silvery leaves is good too lilystorm.

LOL bagpypr, you'll always find the 'english' spellings in my posts ;oD
When I haven't typoed of course (which is quite often I suspect) *g*

Anyone know of a U.S. source for the plant or seeds? My Internet search turned up only one source, B and T World Seeds. As far as I can tell, it's saying that the seeds cost $10 for 3 seeds. The only listed colors are mauve and black.
