I have 5 packets of Myosotis (Forget Me Not) seeds for trade or postage. These are self-sowing biennials.
I don't have a picture of just the forget-me-nots, but they are the delicate blue flowers in the background of this daylily picture.
Have forget-me-not seeds
I will do postage for some of your forget me nots...
Do you just allow the plant to drop seeds and then does it re-seed itself for the next year like the hollyhock does?
Any helpful types would be appreciated...
You have mail.......
The seeds drop by themselves in the late summer and early fall and new plants start growing. I don't have any hollyhocks, but I would imagine it's the same.
I've never had to replant the Forget Me Nots. They always find a way to reseed themselves.
Myosotis sylvatica is a biennial. The plants will come up from sown seed the first year, bloom the second year, throw seed, then die. It sometimes takes a couple years to get the cycle going right in order to have them every year. They usually re-seed pretty thickly but they are easy to transplant.
You are right Weezingreens. Mine have been here a while so I have plants with flowers all the time.
Any more takers? These seeds took a while to cull and they are looking so shiny and black right now.....
Lilystorm, I have seeds, too, and I know how difficult they are to catch at the right moment and separate from the chaff. If no one else wants them, I'll take a pack. Click on my name to check my tradelist.
Lilystorm, I have these, too, and I just love them. They are such a carefree plant and it seems like they bloom continuosly in our area. They look great with your lilies.
Thanks plant_fiend. They seem to like our area, too!
I would love to have some forget-me-not seeds. Please let me know what type of seeds you would like in exchange if you still have some left to share. I have tried these before and didn't have alot of luck but would love to get them started in my gardens. Thanks!
I have two packets left, if anyone is still interested.
Lilystorm,
I would like to try your seeds. I don't have anything to trade but I can send postage.
Thanks
No problem, stabee. I'm sending you an e-mail.
