My dream Greenhouse

Des Moines, IA(Zone 5a)

1st....Happy Thanksgiving! I have alot to be thankful for.I've been reading all these posts on green houses, I would love to have one ..... so i decided to do alot of web-surfing this morning. I think I found the one! my DH is disabled so I think I could set this one up by my self, there are videos to watch if you want to check it out: http://www.easygrow.com/ I wont be able to get one for a while so I may think of a 'cheap' way to emprovise.

I'm not sure who posted it, but someone posted their 'homemade' version with a pick up topper for a roof, that person said he/she was embarrased .... I thought it was really cool and a great idea! I dont think you should be embarrased. Good job to whom ever it was.

Don't give up the dream momof2d..... I researched all kinds of ways to build a greenhouse. I thought about using PVC, the frame of a wooden swing set enclosed in plastic and all other sorts of ideas until I found a greenhouse on sale at harbor freight for 299.00. Figured I'd spend that much in expensive plastic to cover the swing set or PVC.....

Good luck.... I hope you find one .... mines still empty but I still enjoy going out there and dream about what it will be like next spring.....

Thanks VS71099! I definetly wont give up! DH and I play the lotto once a week, maybe we'll get lucky! Jill

That is way to much money for that small of a greenhouse. We havn't spent that much on each of our large commerical ones.
Keep your eyes & ears open. Someone will have a used one for sale somewhere. A city as large as Des Moines should have some store or garden center thats updating or something where they have an old one for sale.

Thanks Bernie, I'll give that a shot --- I liked it because it looked easy to set up, my husband is no longer able to do alot of physical work (though he tries and pays dearly each time), I suppose as a women if I needed to I could find some help somewhere if needed for set up,ect. Thanks, Jill
