Oh gee Ingrid....you like Redbuds too? I'm telling you, we're twins separated at birth! Ever seen this one? Slower growing, smallish ruffled leaves....really pretty......Cercis canadensis var. mexicana (or Cercis mexicana). One of my favorites!

Yeah, duh, blonde moment (ok, blonde with red streaks).....the "mexicana" should have been a clue! LOL
The woods around here are covered with them, remind me in the spring and I will get one for you. Can't ID them with no leaves, LOL
