How to get rid of downloads?

I was going to a Japanese site & my Internet Explorer ask if I wanted to download for an English translation to the site & I checked yes. Well the site is still in Japanese & not in English-how do I get rid of this download? I have the site on my favorites-do I just delet it & it's gone? Or do I have to find where the download is & uninstall? Oh yes,it took 17 minutes for this to download-so I would think it would take that long to get rid of it?? I don't know where to even start to try & find this download.I know VERY little about computers-so I'm in need of help real bad. I do appreicate any & all help.
