I've never really had good luck in trying to find names for a hibiscus cultivar but thought I would give this a shot. Any help would be awesome.
I picked these up form the side of a curb that someone had dug out of their yard. They dug up and dumped about 9 of these (different kinds) but huge in size.
Does anyone have a clue as to what this is? Thanks in advance.
My previous experience makes me skeptical...

You might try this site out. There are sooooo many hibiscus there you might get lucky.

Edit to say: Talking about being at the right place at the right time. What a great find.

I bought this one about a year and a half ago. Althought the bloom is nice sized (6-8") the plant is minature. (I'm betting it was treated with an inhibitor as there are few true dwarf hibiscus.)
The tag on mine said something about Hawaiian Sunset, but everything I've found similar to that name looks nothing like it.
Hopefully we'll both get lucky and someone will know the variety.

Maybe this isn't the best time to photograph my blooms for ID since the cooler temperatures are bringing about some odd but beautiful colors. Thanks for all of your suggestions and the links you've provided. Hawaiian sunset does look a lot like it.
By golly, Kauai17, I do believe that is the same variety!
With your info I did a google search and came up with this http://www.thirdcoasttropicals.com/cat/id66.htm
It says that "Mrs. Jimmy Spangler" is a minature. So now I can quit waiting for the stunting hormone to wear off. : - }
Thank you, ladies, ever so much!!
Glad I could help in solving the mystery! Thanks for posting that website. I have already printed that page out for future reference.
Wow, lovely blooms.
Now I have another great thing to look forward to! I have Hawaiian Sunset also (from Spring Hill Nursery) and it's wintering right now inside the house.
Thank you for the sharing the photos and the links. I'm there already.
