Aquilegia Hybrid, Columbine, European Columbine, European Crowsfoot, Granny's Bonnets 'Mixed Hybrids' (Aquilegia vulgaris)

Eastpointe, MI

Hi Bootandall,
Your photo of the blue clematis flowered columbine is very pretty. I've never seen such a blue columbine before! Is this variety native to New Zealand, or would it survive in my cold zone 6 area also?

Hi lilianrose

I liked that pale blue too, can't remember seeing it for a while, other plants have grown and crowded them out.

there are no native Aquilegia in NZ.. I originally recieved mixed seeds of Aquilegia Clematiflora, from overseas alpine clubs and got some great plants.

I see chiltern seeds have mixed ?? http://www.chilternseeds.co.uk/item.php?id=109K
