Vicki, I have yellow columbine. I don't know which type you are looking for. Mine are from yellow McKana. They get quite tall. I'd be happy to send you some, if you'd like.

Vicki,

I just dug up my 'Broken Colors' 4 o'clocks today to make room for my winter flower garden. This is a root I pulled up with one of them (5" around) . Anybody know if it will grow?

I put the tops in a bag in hopes of catching the seeds. If you can tell me what I need to be looking for I'll forward some to you if any materialize.

Weezingreens :
I would love some of the yellow columbine, what would you like in exchange?

Dstartz : they should be round blackish seeds, I hope ya get some. :)

Northeast, AR(Zone 7a)

Dstartz, the root will grow. Just plant it somewhere else. It will get bigger and bigger as years go by, producing bigger plants.

The seeds form wherever a flower is. When the flower falls off, a little green ball will form in its place. In a few days, the ball will be black and ready for picking. You may not get seeds if you've disturbed the plant. It may go into shock and you may have to cut it back. But chances are, if it's bloomed, it probably dropped lots of seeds on the ground. They're fairly big seeds, so you'd be able to see them. They're about the size of a pencil eraser.
