What size are Darth's feet?

I guess if you are a hummer you don't gain weight in your feet.

What kind of hummer is Darth? I thought he was in another picture but looked like totally different colors.

Remember that hummers (Annas) are green on top but appear grey from below. When you are above them they blend in with the ground, below them they take on the grayish sky look. Here's the two color split.

Do they have red throats? We don't have Anna's here, just the Ruby Throat's. I have only had one mature male with the ruby throat so far. All the others are either females or young males. They sure are territorial for such tiny creatures.

It is an irridescent raspberry red, in bright sun can look hot pink. It also can look so dark like black until the male (only has the bright throat) flashes it by (I assume) ruffling or fluffing the feathers of his throat.

Also, a mature male defending territory or otherwise flashing his colors shows a bigger piece of red-pink on throat than monterey's pic... this may change over the year (brighter colors in breeding season?) -- pic may be of immature male or maybe winter coloration. I could check the birdbook but too lazy right now!

Queen Squeek-Defender of the patio feeders-turned out to be King Squeek. He is quite robust and redheaded now. Looks like Darth with Woody's head. Noisy as ever though. There is a new girl in town that has him all twitterpated.

I know what its like to get all twitterpated. Hard to think straight!
