Scutler

I know it is a long time ago that you wrote but I just found it by looking for this. I just bought this plant today and it is a variegated but I don't think it is big leafed. It is the macrrophylla tho.

Since yours is older than mine, can you tell me how big it is going to get? The info attached to the plant doesn't say.

Hi Jeanette, If I understand correctly, you say that your plant is variegated. By that do you mean that it has variegated leaves? I'm not aware of a variegated variety of Homigo. Do you have a picture?

I have a number of Homigo plants. I've been cutting them back severly each year to promote branching and control size. Despite this heavy pruning mine all shoot up and out to about 3'x3' each summer. My information indicates it can reach 4ft x 4ft.

What do you mean "Homigo"? I also found this on the tag, "Mariesii Variegata". When I query that it says 4 to 6 feet. I will take a picture of it today for you.

Ok, I took a couple of pictures of it. Jeanette

Jeanette, that is a very lovely plant.

I asked about 'Homigo' because that is the name of the MY cultivar, the one in the photo above. (If you scroll to the top of the page you should see the name 'Homigo').

Based on the name indicated on your label, I think you need to check out this page in PF: http://davesgarden.com/pf/go/49339/index.html
And from the photo, I think I need one of those, too : ) http://davesgarden.com/pf/showimage/51645/

BTW, if you check the link, it indicates a height of 4-6ft for your plant just as you said.

Yes, that is the link I found after writing to you. It is pretty isn't it? It has a big flower on it that hasn't opened yet. The comments on the link didn't sound very promising for the flower. Maybe I won't take it out of the can yet so I don't disrupt the bloom.

I will send you a picture of the blossom, good or bad. LOL

FYI, I got it at Walmart for $5.44.

Yours is awfully pretty too. What does Homigo mean? Is it French for Hydrangia? Sorry if that is a dumb question.

BTW, the picture was much prettier before I reduced it down so it didn't take up the whole screen.

Thanks for looking for me. ttyl, Jeanette
