During the rain

This much rain is crazy for us but it does bring out my little buddy!

Ohhh how precious, what a great shot.

They stay VERY close to home in the rain. What a cutie, all fluffed up to keep warm and dry. I put a couple of feeders inside the patio for rainy days so they can sit and complain. So what happens. They use the feeders all the time and complain when I use the patio.

Hi Monterey,

Great pic as usual. Amazing how they sit out in the rain. How do you like that feeder? I just got one at Lowes for an additional one next spring.

They hardly ever use it but when they do it;s worth it.

I envy anyone who has hummers all year. I won't get to see them in person until May. At least I can look at your nice pics. Keep em coming.

WOW! You can see every wing feather.

Wow those are all nice. I was out in LA last June and it amazed me that in the shopping center where we ate lunch the Hummers would swoop right in over your head to snack on the flowering trees above our heads. We don't get many here. I am still trying to lure them into my garden. I hope maybe next year with all the good advice I have been reading in this forum.

This was low light. I can only sync at about 1/60-1/70 of a sec(flash). That's why I can't always stop the wings. This is from 08/22/04 7:39 A.M.
