EE leaves brown on edges

I have a xanthosoma sagittifolium that I got off ebay. It has two new leaves. On the edges of the new leaves there are some brown marks. I have it in a 13 by 13 in. pot sitting in front of a south window, my house temperature is around 63 at night and 69 durning the day. I am keeping the soil moist. I planted it in Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting mix enriched with miracle-gro plant food. Can someone help me out by telling me what I am doing wrong, or not doing.

Could be the fertilize. I had trouble with the Miracle gro potting soil. Don't overwater, especially since it's a new plant and hasn't had time to get established, plus it's growing in cool temperature and doesn't use as much water as it would in a warmer environment.

Let it "cycle" a few of the stressed leaves, and put out new ones before dong anything drastic.

I'm with Cala on the fertilizer. This summer I accidently overfertilized some of my hostas and they turned brown around the edges.

Do you mist the plant at all? I have several different EE plants and they all prefer to be misted at least once a day to keep the humidity up. Misting also helps deter spider mites.

I do mist them but not every day. I will start misting everyday along with my other plants. I sure don't want to lose my EE plants.

I sprayed mine with Peters 20-20-20 before I saw on another post not to get the fertilizer on the leaves...... They turned all brown and burnt looking. Since then they've cycled thru like Alocasiaaddict recommends. I cut off the leaves and new ones have since replaced them and you'd never know there was ever a problem. I'm new to EE's this year but they seem pretty tough, after all mine are still alive...
