I checked these pods 2 days ago and they were firm. Today as I left for work I walked over to gaze lovingly at them and I was so shocked to see them bursting open! Both are big but one is just huge!
All my red hopes are in these pods!!

Oh my Lord kell they are huge, how many seeds does each pod have (usually), well you know you have another BRUG MANIAC tha YOU created, that will help you out, did you ever try using something on your thumb, like a guitar pick. to peal the seads.

you people are making me crazy!!!! hehehe. would it be possible for me to start some brugs indoors over this winter? i live in zone 5 and don't own a greenhouse (boo-Hoo...maybe next year). i have been looking at this forum only for a few days and have become more and more intrigued by your brugs. they are fantastic.

Brugie what is the temp in your gararge
I don't know what the temp is in there, but it doesn't freeze. I'm guessing it probably gets down to near freezing when the weather is really bad. A good guess for now is that it is probably around 55 degrees.
well if mine ever gets too big for the house I will use my gararge, I think the lowest it gets in there is 55 to 58
Wow, I'd love to have a garage that warm. It would be full of brugs and other plants, with lots of shop lights hanging from the ceiling. My truck would be sitting outside.

What I need to do is insulate the garage that is attached to the house, move the plants in there and move my truck to the other garage. Then the plants and the truck would both be warm.

Actually, I would probably make more because it would be convenient to have them close and I could keep some actively growing. The way it is now, the ones out in the cool garage do go dormant.
My problem is I can't stand the thought of any of mine going dormant, right now they are to small anyway, but next year I will make use of my gararge if Brugie doesn't take me up on my offer
