Shirley's Inca Sun X Tommy Lockwood

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

This is the first bloom on this seedling and i'st behind many other plants and I can't get a good picture of it. It has six points. I can barely reach it over all the plants it's behind.

Looks like a big bloom and twisty tendrils. Hope it gets better.

I like it Shirley. I'll keep it for next year to see what it does.

Chariton, IA(Zone 5b)

I would too. It's really hard to tell what a brug will look like from the first blooms and especially when the first blooms show up when the days are short and cool.

And well hidden behind a bunch of other plants. LOL

At least you let me know what you got from one of my seeds. Thank you so much.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Ada -- its a very interesting looking bloom -- wonder if it'll get some color next year? You sure have been blessed with some lovely brug blooms despite all the yucky weather!

Kannapolis, NC(Zone 7b)

You're so welcome, Shirley. I'll keep you posted on how it does next year. It may have a yellow tint to it. It's hard to tell with the poor lighting. I was hoping it would bloom before I had to move it inside. I love the bloom on it so far with the long tendrils.

Thanks, Gretchen. I sure hate they all have to be taken inside. I hate cold weather. LOL

A photo from today. It's showing some orange tint.

Another shot today. Excuse the background mess. We've been dragging plants from everywhere and have a terrible mess.

It may have some nice color by next year when it is warm and with long days. Thanks for posting, Ada.

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

I bet it ends up being a keeper. Looks so big! Do not forget to post it next year with this thread as a reference. It will be so interesting to see it then and compare to now! Thanks Ada!

Needville, TX(Zone 9a)

Ada, it is beautiful!

I believe it'll be a beauty with warmer, longer days. I love the long tendrils.
