Another new seedling

Livermore, CA(Zone 9a)

This is from seeds I acquired from Calla. It is Rothkirch x L'Amour. I was very disappointed in it's first flush, but wanted to give it one more try. I don't think I will keep this one. On the first flush during the heat of summer, the flowers went away within 48 hrs. of blooming.

That's too bad, Patricia. Isn't it funny that seedlings from the same pod can differ so much in how they bloom..................maybe others from that pod will be gorgeous. I've let a lot of seedlings go this year. I remember when I grew my first seedlings. Gosh, I couldn't toss them for anything. Now it is easy because I know what I'm looking for.

I have several seedlings that bloomed this year that are hitting the compost pile. But I sure love the anticipation of that first bloom. I still have about 5 other seedlings with buds that I am hoping to see bloom this year.

Looks like a big bloom Patrica! I need to toss more of mine. I find very few are downright ugly! Your leaves are always so green!

I love that new bloom rush also, when all things are possible!!
