Introducing Muschito

Santiago, Chile(Zone 9b)

I finally managed to shoot a more or less decent picture from my beloved kitty.

Muschito is approximately 8 years old. When he was a kitten, he was abandoned on a high traffic street where he was hit by a car (that did not stop). It seems he was out there hurt and on his own long enough for stray dogs to find and bite him. Somebody (the Lord bless him/her) alerted my friend Mercedes, who is a Vet. She took him home and did her best to cure his wounds, because the little critter was absolutely wild in fear and pain. As soon as Mercedes released him for a second he run to hide and was never seen again until a few months. Mercedes new he was alive because he was eating and using his litter box.

When Mercedes decided to return home (Panama in her case), she asked me to adopt Muschito. I was not sure about it. So far I had only had dogs and I was not specially fond of cats. Besides, I was in a deep black depression. Little did I know the latter was the reason Mercedes wanted me to have Muschito. She finally gave me an ultimatum: either you take the cat or I will have to put him to sleep 'for nobody will adopt a two year old ugly handicapped cat' she said. Now I know she would never have done that, but at that time ....

Six years later I cannot imagine life without my kittito.

Maybe he is not the most beautiful, the smartest cat in the world, but he is MINE and I love him dearly. Besides, he is such good kitty: he even lets me live in his house LOL. He has tought me his rules and the fact that cats are the most gorgeous creatures in the world!
