Good fertilizers for Central Texas other than manure tea

Mason, TX

I have a garden that was established from scratch one year ago. Beds were dug down 2' and filled with top soil then compost worked in and planted with some natives, butterfly bush, red bud trees, salvia, golden bells, wisteria vine, daylilies, bearded iris, Dutch iris, African iris, plumbago, rose mallow, etc. They have all done beautifully but I'm thinking I should fertilize in the spring. Don't have room or energy for compost pile or manure tea making. Can anyone suggest a commercial fertilizer that will work in my beds? Have heard that bone meal and alfalfa meal or pellets are good but have no experience with them. Anybody have any good ideas?

welcome Masonmaven:
I don't use fertilizer in my beds just add a layer of bark mulch every yr.
Started dumping fish barrell filters in them this yr.Seems to be working great.
Do you have a pond with a filter perhaps?
Also have access to all the rabbit poo I want. Some have that in them.
Might try one of these avenues.Check out your neighboring farms.
using animal poo depending on creature some is way to hot. Some grows a lot of weeds. A lot of information on this sight you just need to do some searching.
Good luck in your ventures
