This elephant ear looks like a regular elephant ear but has all these funny looking growth things on the back of the leaves..On the top of the leaves has these indents in the leaves where the funny looking growths are on the bottom.... It produces pups which is starting to do the same thing when they are about foot tall...Does anybody have an idea what this EE is called?

Here is the top of the leaf to see the indents as well...

Looks like it could be where a bug bit it,while the leaf was unfurling.

MMM.. all my leaves have these indents in them..so...even the ones that are just unfurling out new leaves...

The little tear on the bottoms of the leaves remind me a little of xanthosoma jacquinii lineatum but I think the plant is actually a giant from of colocasia called oddly enough gigantea. I read about this colocasia on a gardening forum somewhere and the description that was given of the plant matches your pictures. I did a search to see if I could find a picture of it and located some for sale at Plant Delights. You can follow the link below for pics and more details.

Nadine,

Its common name is Xanthosoma Bunny Tracks but I have no clue on the real name. Got that from Jerry, so I'm sure if you email him he might have the correct botanical name on it.

I love it! Wish I had gotten one :-(

The base plant does appear to be Colocasia Gigantea as canna mentioned.
