Looking for white or blue butterfly pea vine for trade .

Brooksville, FL(Zone 9a)

Does anyone have any white or blue butterfly pea vine, Clitoria ternatea, for trade? I got some of the blue ones last year from **someone** -( I wish I had a memory!! )- - anyway, I planted them too late and am not gonna' make seeds, so I thought I see if I could get more and try again next year!

Check my trade list and let me know!

Also - not on my trade list are passion flower vine seeds (picture attached). I have three pods left on the vines - don't know for sure how many seeds will be in each pod, but I'd be willing to trade whatever there is when they are ready.

Thanks,
Onalee

you probably got the blue clitorina from me. I shared about 1 million seeds last fall. Be happy to send some more for SASE. Tell me where to collect the seeds from the flamingo feather cleosia. I got one a couple of months ago and would like to collect seeds. I just got some white seed so maybe next year I will have plenty of them to share as well

Donna, if the celosia is like mine, just shake it over a paper sack- they are along the neck...

When are they ready Brenda???

Hi Donna - THANKS!! I appreciate it, the flowers are so pretty! Is your address on the address share list? I'll check.

The celosia seeds are ready in 'stages' - the lower ones ready first. As the plume starts to turn white (from the bottom up), usually that's when the seeds are ready. If you just take a sack or, I use a bread pan, and hold the flower over it and shake it you should see tiny little black seeds fall out. You can also rub your finger along the length of it to loosen the seeds; if none fall out, try again in a couple of days.

If the flower starts to 'fall down' - not stand up any more, usually the seeds are ready. You can also cut that flower off and place it in a pan to dry and shake it in there and rub it up and down the length to loosen the seeds, then strain the seeds out thru a spaghetti strainer or the like.

I'll get an SASE out on Monday for the butterfly pea seeds - THANKS SO MUCH!!
