Happy Saturday to all! Weekend contest fun!

San Leandro, CA(Zone 9b)

It is a beautiful day in my neighborhood! How does it look in yours?

The best liked (best looking, most interesting, most colors, etc sky pic), JUST SKY, gets a rooted L'Amour or 2 fat trunk pieces of Old Yella. Winner's choice! We will vote for the winner tomorrow starting at 6 PM Sunday and ending at noon Monday. If you won't be around then, sent your vote to me via Dave's email system.

Rules:
Must be of just sky, nothing else.
Must be a picture taken this weekend.
Must be taken by the Daver who posts it.
Please post city it was taken in along with picture.
If tie votes, there will be a run off vote.
I retain right to post more rules if I missed a biggie! LOL

And only real skies......................... hear that Dick? LOL

If I didn't know better I'd swear this was a fake, but it really is our sky here in Alice, TX today. Not a cloud in the sky.

this morning is a bit cloudy

I was just thinking wouldn't it be funny if no one has a cloud in their sky! Just a row of blue squares down this thread! LOL

I should have said in the first post that you can enter as many times as you want as your sky changes!

Oops.my sky just turned grey!

darn , my daughter has my carmera and she lives a hour and a half drive from me.

Can emh48 and I enter jointly? She lives just down the road from me? Of course, if I'm not a winner in this she may not like having her name linked to mine.......

Pocahontas, TN(Zone 7b)

JudyCooksey says, "Great Day!" Here's our sky - it's going to be wonderful today! We're located 80 miles east of Memphis...

BigDaddy99 is the one of us who initially fell in love with Brugs, so the above is his entry. I'm gonna do a "rain dance" so maybe we'll get lots of clouds and my entry will be more interesting. lol lol lol

Lewiston, CA(Zone 7b)

Well... I live in the trees & the only open area had a crescent moon in it. It is a beautiful day here also, although cold.
You are always coming up with fun stuff to do. Where would we all be without your enthusiasm, Kell?
Hugs, Bj

Hey, kell, the rules say "Must be of just sky, nothing else."

Since all these other people have writing in their pictures does that mean I'm the winner?

You are so tough Dstartz! LOL!! A real competitor!

Thanks BJ! This is actually more interesting than I realized to see the sky from everyone's house.

Your Lewiston and Pocahontas both have the moon in their skies. I didn't see one in mine. No fair!

I am going to go out and really look to see if I can find it.

Hey, I want one of your brugs!! And I REALLY like this one!!

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

I saw the moon in the western sky. Here is mine today -- absolutely gorgeous!

Thumbnail by Kaufmann
Lewiston, CA(Zone 7b)

It's strange to know we are all looking at the moon at the same time from all over the states! I have so many trees there's not too many places to stand where I won't get leaves (at least running out in my robe!). This is fun!

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

This is not for the contest, but just for fun -- this is an unretouched photo of Dr. Seuss -- I love the way the sky photographed. Must've been the way the sun hit the lens just so...

Just beautiful Gretchen. My sky is blue again and all these pics are making me want to go out and take some of my own with the blue sky as a background!

I think you deserve one Dstartz for all your enthusiam!!

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

Thanks, Kell! And thanks for this contest -- made me get out and enjoy the day! Plus, I found a new seedling blooming for the first time :)

Here's another DS bloom with the neat sky effects -- I have no idea how this happened, but its kind of neat...

Great pic Gretchen!

Beautiful pics everyone! This should be a fun and interesting contest.

GOD's Green Earth, United States(Zone 8b)

thanks, Brinda! Leave it to Kell -- she's so creative and has a great imagination!!!

Decatur, IN(Zone 5a)

Here is mine. THe speck that look like it could be the moon was a sunray sparkle and was taken (facint west) less than 5 minutes ago.

This one was taken facing east.

BTW, we are in the 50's, nippy wind but sunny. DH is out now doing what he hopes to be his last job mowing for the season.

My fault!, I realized I didnot fully read all the rules. Sorry Kell.

This time I took a picture of the sky only (facing NW). In Decatur, IN, just outside my front door. Hope you all like it.

Shesh
I coulda got a good one if I knew I could have clouds!

Tellico Plains, TN(Zone 7b)

Yikes!

Just got home from a great day's ride through the Kettle Moraine areas and a stop at Renee's .
The last half of the trip , my trusty scooter and I were being chased by a strong cold front.
This is what I saw over my shoulder and it was blowing colder all the time.
I think this may have been the last of 72° days for a while .
Tomorrow's high = low 40's
brrrrrrrr !
