As with most of these flowers which are pollinated by carrion flies, it really only exudes lots of odor when the sun shines on it during the day and it is warm. This one smells like something had died in a corner.

i don't remember the type I had years ago on my kitchen window sill, I didn't know would smell like that, flies were around and it smelled bad, couldn't figure out why till I saw it had bloomed, lol!!!
